Jeff and Erica met online through a dating app called Bumble...crazy story- Jeff would never have tried out Bumble had it not been for his co-worker encouraging him to give it a shot, and Erica might nevere have come across Jeff if it weren't for her dear friend Courtney taking control of her phone one fateful night in Dallas and picking Jeff out of the line up for her to talk with next.

After a few weeks of messaging and talking on the phone, Erica beat Jeff to the punch and asked when he was going to take her out for some of these amazing margaritas that he kept talking about...two weeks later they went on their first date in Granbury at Mesquite Pit (voted the best margaritas in Hood County!).  It was a great evening, the first of many to follow.

A few short months later, Jeff and Erica shacked up together, much to Erica's mom's dismay!  It was quick, but everything felt right, and when you know, you just know.  God definitely had a hand in the timing of their relationship.  About 6 months after Jeff moved in things to a dramatic turn down an unplanned path when Erica found a lump and was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Jeff was Erica's rock through 4 months of chemo, numerous surgeries and endless appointments.  If Erica had ever been unsure, the experience that she and Jeff shared left no doubt in her mind that he truly was her person.

At two and half years together, Jeff popped the question and of course Erica said yes!  They set the wedding date (right at 3 years from their first date) and are anxiously awaiting the big day!
