Welcome to our honeymoon registry! With this website you will be able to help send us on our honeymoon! We will be going to Riviera Maya, Mexico just south of Cancun and staying in an oceanfront suite for five days. Our hopes are to go scuba diving, swim with dolphins, take a sunset Caribbean cruise, enjoy a candlelight dinner, and relax to the sounds of the ocean while getting a couples massage on the beach. Justin and I met in November 2008 through a mutual friend. Although we were not very far from each other, he at UNT and I at TWU just ten minutes away, we did not see each other again until May of 2009, when a couple friends of ours went bowling on my birthday. We began talking more often on the phone through the summer and began dating on July 4, 2009. It was then that I began to find his love for watching football, while I also had my influence on him with the Rangers. We have had such a blast together- Rascall Flatts and Maroon 5 concerts, dinner at the Dallas Reunion Tower, family Christmas road trips to Tennessee, and our "Beginning of Senior Year Road Trip to Los Angeles and Las Vegas." In August 2011, Justin and I went with some friends to California and Las Vegas where we spent ten days exploring the two states by going on a whale watching cruise, Universal Studios, appearing on the TV show Let's Make a Deal, and seeing Cirque de soleil and the Bellagio fountains. On the last day of the trip, Justin surprised me by making reservations at the restaurant in the Las Vegas Eiffel Tower. Prior to dinner, we went to the observation deck where we could see the entire city of Las Vegas lit up at night. Little did I know that the entire trip, his roommate Jeremy was in possession of my soon-to-be engagement ring so that I wouldn't accidently find it. I didn't think much of it as Justin and Jeremy took one lap around the top of the observation deck as I stayed behind to watch the Bellagio fountains below- that was when Justin got the ring from Jeremy. Justin then joins me, watching the fountains dance to music, and says "You didn't think I would take you all the way to Las Vegas and that dinner would be the only surprise did you?" Confused and hopeful, I asked him what he was talking about. He then pulls a white box out of his pocket, gets down on one knee, and says "Nicole, will you marry me?" "YES!" He then put the ring that I had picked out a few months before on my finger, and we proceeded to celebrate with our friends and our French waiter Pier. |
Our wedding planning is coming together quickly and I continue to find myself counting down the months until I will be walking down the isle to marry my best friend! The reception will immediately follow the ceremony where there will be food, music, cake, and a photobooth! We can't wait for you to celebrate the beginning of our new life together! |
